Book Review: Days Like These

Book Description:

There are love stories and then there′s the story of Kristian and Rachel Anderson.

After learning he had cancer, Kristian wanted nothing more than to show his wife Rachel how much he loved her. Thanks to the now famous YouTube video he made for her 35th birthday, he captured the world′s attention.

Many of us didn′t know Kristian but we were so inspired by him that we felt like we did.

His story is a lasting legacy to a brief but blessed life that will inspire others to know that even in the darkest moments, the light can shine through.

My Review:

This is one of the best non-fiction books I have read in a long time.  It is a series of blog posts written by the author that tell his journey with his battle against cancer.  You hear his physical and emotional struggles in his own words as he is experiencing them.  His faith is absolutely amazing, even in his darkest moments.  He can be an inspiration to us all, especially those dealing with any type of chronic illness.  There are sections added in, written by the author’s wife that add to his story.  I highly recommend this book to others.  I cannot imagine that you could read this book and not be inspired by what you read.  He also shares on-line links throughout the book so that you can see videos he made while he was on his journey.  His writings are full of hope, faith, and love.

I received a complimentary copy of this book for review from  I was not obligated to write a positive review.  The opinions in this review are my own.

  1. This sounds like a heart wrenching story. I just finished “Rain Dance” by Joy Dekok. I bought it off that web site you told me about for 99 cents. It was sad but very interesting if you ever get a chance to read it.
